I lived in Cresthaven from 2018 to 2021 while I was trying to figure out where to build a house. It was generally a good place to live. Having said that, my reason for the 1-star review is because they had a ton of issues with their online payment portal which cost me a lot of late fees. They switched platforms multiple times, so I would set up auto pay, just in time for them to change it again and then charge late fees when the auto pay didn’t go through. They were great about accepting rent in other ways initially. When I was having a hard time I could just call over there and they’d help me take it over the phone. Then one day I called in because I couldn’t get the online portal to work properly and they wouldn’t help me anymore. . . Then the next day they charged me a couple hundred dollar late fee knowing full well that I was trying to make the payment. The living experience was fine, the payment process was a disaster and they took ad advantage of people like me who were happy to make it but weren’t able to. I don’t know whether their service philosophy came from the ownership group or from management, but it was bad either way.
