Absolutely the WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED. If they make a mistake they will not fix it. When we walked through the apartments we were promised outdoor storage, a pantry, and that a data package was included in our rent. Upon moving in we were moved into the wrong apartment and had to move again, none of the things promised above were actually included + our data fee was not included in rent it was in addition. Our fridge was broken and when we told them about it, they said they'd send someone in 3 days, 3 DAYS and would not compensate us for our wasted food AND the maintenance man thought he was alone and used my bathroom for a sold 20 mins. Our building has had foundation issues and was apparently "sliding off the mountain" they spent weeks digging out our building, jacking it up, and the building would shake from 7am-5pm and it was extremely loud. They didn't give us any warning they were doing it, just started one day. Fast forward a year and they are now digging up all the roads, garages, and the parking lot. There is no parking and you literally have to hike into your building. It has nearly been a year since they started and it's still not even close to done. They did offer compensation for a little, stopped honoring the discount w/o telling anyone (I caught it from looking at my bill), and now they're giving it again. They made us move everything out of our garage and into one across our complex, we had our stuff in there a week when I noticed some stuff was missing. After searching and not finding it we confronted the front office and it turns out a worker had gone into the garage and rummaged through our things and took stuff (I mean they had to DIG to find what they used) to use for a project they were working on. They found our stuff inside an apartment, whoever used it just left it there. I felt extremely frustrated and the complex just acted like it was my problem. A few months later they said we had to move everything out of that garage into another within a few days because they rented that one out. It was annoying but we said ok, then they came back and said we didn't a few times and they'd let us know when they needed us to move. Cool, right? Nope! A month or so later we get a call from someone at the office, "are you ever going to move your stuff out of that garage? We have someone moving in in 3 days...". They then proceeded to offer a moving company at OUR expense. "because they already paid for one once so we need to this time..." Um, what? YOU made ME move. We finally got everything sorted out and moved, but again, FRUSTRATING. Other things that have been a pain: the air conditioning only works sometimes, you have to turn it off and almost let it recharge if it's on too long. Confronted the office about, again they acted like it was my problem and told me that it wasn't true. The water heaters are terrible. In winter, you can't even get warm water 80% of the time. In summer, the water is warm or hot a good amount of the time. There have been a lot of giant spiders for people on the bottom level and I mean GIANT, like YOU CAN VIVIDLY SEE THEIR EYES FROM A DISTANCE (I wish I still had pictures). Rattlesnake issues as well. BUT you can't spray your apartment, the complex "has" to, yet they never will. I've had friends move out because of this and because the complex never did a thing about it after promising over and over their company would spray. The same friends also were told, "we don't have a mailbox for you" + they had a broken garage the entire time they lived there, no one ever did a thing. The walls are SO paper thing that I can hear every. single. neighbors conversations. It makes the noises of construction sooo pleasant. If people are talking in the parking lot, it sounds like they're in your house. The amenities are not worth it. The gym is the size of a freakin bedroom and the pool is only 4ft deep in the very center of the pool - maybe good for families with kids. They up sale you on everything, they are constantly finding ways to charge you more and more for literally NOTHING. For example, the internet bill keeps increasing but out internet keeps getting worse and worse, to the point where we're leaving the house to go elsewhere to get our computer needs done. I now examine my bill at least twice a month because I don't trust them and believe you me I have found many a strange charges that were "accidents". A lot of other residents have complained of the same things/other things as well and have held meetings to discuss the complex. There are a lot of unhappy people here. The front office is terrible, aside from ONE PERSON who deserved 5 stars all for herself (does't work there anymore), everyone else is just plain terrible. We have also been incentivized in the past to leave 5 star reviews, which my review originally was, but now that I'm moving that is no longer the case. So be wary. If you want an aesthetically nice looking apartment and you like the area and you don't mind the chaos, this apartment works. It is after all pretty much the cheapest in the area for what you get, but I really don't recommend it. Granted my experience isn't everyones, but I'd like to at least get mine out there to hopefully save someone else. Don't live here if you can help it, just don't.

I've lived at Cresthaven for a few months now and can say this has been the best experience communicating with their staff. Every apartment complex I have ever lived in has fallen in comparison. Highly recommended to anyone looking to relocate to the Traverse Mountain area.
