I give this place 2 stars because it was good enough to live here for 3 years, however, after paying $45,000 in rent we are ready to move and it has been a NIGHTMARE to work with the management to leave upon the expiration of our lease at Cresthaven. We informed the management that we would not be renewing our lease with only 40 days notice, instead of 60 days (which is the unusually long period which the contract required) even though our lease was up that following month. That was our legal obligation & our mistake . HOWEVER, the manager assured us that if we could find someone to fill the apartment, we would not be left having to pay for that extra month. We worked very hard to find someone to fill our unit and placed dozens of ads up on the various sites including craigslist, KSL, Rentler, etc., A week later when we told the manager we had found someone to rent our apartment, they told us they had already leased the apartment for the month following the month we were hoping to avoid having to pay. They gave us no prior warning or message even though we spent weeks looking for someone to rent the apartment.
Also, during the three years we lived there we made multiple noise complaints that were never addressed. Further, our upstairs neighbors were smoking marijuana and cigarettes on the porch directly above our apartment which I shared with my wife and two infant children. The fumes were coming into our house and our apartment reeked. We repeatedly mentioned this to the manager and all the manager did was say heâd speak with them, but nothing changed. Itâs so frustrating and we tried our best to be good tenants and always paid on time. But just know, you shouldnât live here if you ever want to consider changing jobs, moving, or donât like having to smell cigarette smoke inside your apartment. We have tried repeatedly to work this out with the management, but they have been absolutely no help and terrible to work with. DON'T LIVE HERE!
