LOVE living at Cresthaven. Unfortunately, the rates are par for the course in Utah, now, unless you want to live in a much much older place with far fewer amenities. Since you ARE renting, there will be things that are out of your control, like other tenants, shared utilities and media packages. Almost (if not all) places of this quality have the same situation. Management is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I have rented for 11 years and never had such wonderful management - including maintenance. They are always so quick to respond. READ YOUR CONTRACT. If you read and understand before you sign, you will not be unpleasantly surprised or disappointed. Don't want to leave this place.

I have sincerely loved my experience living here. Unbelievably great management from the office to maintenance. Our unit is beautiful and spacious and we don't want to leave until we buy. Read and follow the contract, and understand that you are RENTERS, not owners, so there are things you will pay for that aren't yours alone, and you will enjoy it as much as we have!

They charge you extras on top of extras for EVERYTHING. The apartments are really nice, and the management has always been pretty nice but if you are late on rent because of the holiday weekend when they weren't open, they'll charge you $150 late fee and then a $25 "service fee" even though your cashiers check is dated on the 2nd. Someone in the office did reverse the $150 late fee, but I still had to pay a $25 service fee, which I still think is ridiculous when I pay my rent on time every month. They told me I could have paid it online, but I had already taken the money out of my account in a cashiers check. It's $100 extra for a mandatory garage, and $100 extra for their mandatory media package, plus a $25 HOA. That's all on top of the base rent. I moved in at the beginning of a month, signed a 10 month lease, put in my 60 day notice of moving out and then got told the lease goes until the end of the 10th month. So I have to stay here for an extra month than I signed my lease for. Please, save yourself time and money and do not move here!!

A notice was out on our door on June 3rd saying that we needed to take the office notice of our plans to vacate. Our lease ends July 31st, 58 days from the time they put the notice on our door. June 3rd was a Friday and I work in a restaurant which means my weekends don't exist, they have shirt office hours Saturday and are closed on Sunday, so when I went to turn our notice in Monday they told me it was too late because it wasnt a full 60 days notice I would have to pay another months rent plus $150 dollars because now I'm considered month to month. So you give me my notice at 58 days but expect me to tell you within 60?! Rude, bad customer service, especially to tenants who have never had any issues, complaints or late payments despite all the extra fees, threats of towing because we have out of state plates, poor winter maintenance, etc etc.

Historically, I've had good experiences with landlords until it came time to move out and I was nickled and dimed for everything, and taken advantage of despite being a great tenant. Cresthaven is the FIRST complex in my 10 year history of renting that I've had a great experience from move-in to move-out. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs as a renter. They are quick to respond to any inquiries and do all that they can to ensure you enjoy your time at Cresthaven. The move-out inspection was fair and reasonable (they actually remember you've been living in the unit and don't treat you like it should be BRAND NEW) The units themselves are great and the location couldn't be better. If you're looking to rent in that area, Cresthaven is a safe bet. I've read many reviews where they feel everything came with an extra charge, but in my experience (especially with the new complexes) that's pretty standard at any complex you go to. They are upfront about it, so there shouldn't be any surprises after you sign your lease.

Living here was the absolute worst experience it possibly could have been. The worst part about it is the management and how awful they were. The apartments seem nice but the whole complex is settling and falling apart. Our apartment was in bad shape and they took forever to send someone to fix even minor things. On top of that, the apartments have wood floors which look wonderful. But beware because nothing dulls the sound of even walking. I hope this review will save someone from renting at this terrible place.
